Have any of you purchased a Tucker Sling? My pedi recommended that I get one today. I told him I was letting my baby sleep in her swing every night!!! I was wondering if the Tucker Sling works...do you use it with the crib or a wedge...do you allow your baby to sleep on its stomach while in the sling?

Thanks for any help you can give.

We never tried the Tucker Sling. Thomas always slept in his bouncy seat and the doctor seemed to be okay with it. I don't know much about the Tucker Sling, but from what I've seen on their website, it looks like it just fits over the crib matress, so it seems like you'd just elevate the crib or crib matress to the proper angle. As far as tummy or back, I've heard that for reflux babies the benefits of tummy sleeping outweigh the risk of SIDS, but I guess it's just one of those decisions you need to make with your doctor.

My Levi slept in a Tucker sling for three months.....I was fortunate enough to have one donated to me from the site and it is now property of the Hospital where we delivered and they continue to "lend" it out to reflux babies......but before he slept in the Tucker sling I had him rigged up in a baby carrier on a wedge pad that you can buy at any medical supply store....I put the carrier on the wedge pad much the same as you would attach it to yourself and it worked perfect. If he didn't sleep in that he slept in his bouncy chair....
Good luck and God Bless
