how long before it starts working

my doctor started him on.5 ml of zantac. how long does it take to get into his system. she said i could up it to .75 gradually but i don't know how long to wait. does anybody know this.

It takes about two weeks to see an visible effects (or thats at least what my ped. told me)

I started noticing a real difference after two weeks.

Just wondering, how much does your baby weigh/and how old is he??

We are on 2 mil x 2 x per day at 16 lbs 11 oz. Maybe the dosage is too low???

he is 5 1/2 months and weighs 18 pounds 5 ounces. she started him so low because my other doctor at my request to try med. put him on zantac and prilocec( don't know how to spell it) and he had a real bad time on it. So my new doctor put him on zantac .5 ml and said i could get up to .75 with out contacting her but i just didn't know how long to give it to. we go back in a couple of weeks anyway for 6 month check up . i can tell he feels more relaxed but he has about 3 to 4 episodes a day still. so i just was courious

My guy is 3 months, 12 lbs (probably getting close to 13 now-hes chunking out and wants to eat ALL the time)-my ped gi has him on .5ml only once at night, 2ml prilosec and .7 reglan (every 6 hours) which i stopped.

With Zantac we had a little bit of improvement within the first few days, but it's much more noticeable after a couple of weeks. You might try increasing the dosage just a little bit every few days.
