Hi Emily, Sorry to hear about your colicky baby. Our little Ryan is also colicky and now is 9 weeks old. This has been pure hell on us who waited to have children soo long. I too feel like a prisoner in my own home and end up still wearing my PJ's and not brushing my teeth til my hubby comes home. I sit and watch the clock and count the hours til he comes home. Every time we think his colic is better, it seems he slips backwards and gets bad again. We can not even put him down and he wants to be held constantly! One thing that works for us is putting a hair dryer about 18 inches from him and have it blow on him. I prop it up. It stops his crying but eventually he wakes up when I shut it off, just like flipping a switch! He sleeps in bed with my hubby at night for 2 four hour stretches with a feeding in between. He started sleeping better when we put him on his tummy. This was hard for me, being a nurse, to do this with the SIDS thing and all. We now roll him on his side once he falls asleep. Evenings are aweful, around 7-9PM he fusses constantly and we try to maintain a rountine of bath and feeding during this time. I too cant wait to come and check this message board each day for the great support. It helps to listen to other's stories and it helps to pass the time and get thru another day. I often get jealous of those gerber babies of friends and close families. I am pondering going back to work in 1 month but am afraid of him getting booted from daycare so I am begging for 1 more month of leave. That way he will be 4 months old and hopefully better. Hope this helps! My little one is on Zantac, maalox and nurtramigen formulas. We switched formulas 6 times and also used a chiropractor for a couple of weeks. We even gave him camomille tea to soothe his belly. You can email me personally if you have anything you would like to ask me. All for now, Take care!
