formula and colic

I have a 5 month old who is over his colic which lasted about three months .When we switched him to the nutramigen it was like a godsend. Now that he is colic free we are considering switching him to carnation good start.Any advice.

Hi Katie!

I am so glad you are surviving "boot camp" :D

You might want to try your son on Good Start, but beware :eek: We tried Good Start before moving to Nutramigen and it was a nightmare! When I talked to the pediatrician about it, he said that either your baby thrived on it or it made the Colic 100 times worse.

Steel your nerves before you give it a try. :) If there is a reaction to the "normal" formula, it will seem like an extreme reaction compared to your wonderful baby right now.

:lol I don't mean to be a downer here! You eventually need to wean your baby of that expensive stuff and there is no firm time frame to try. You will know if it is okay or not within a day or so of trying.
