Hi.. I have twins that are 6 weeks old.. one was brought home from the hospital on alimentum.. however my son who was on similac .. then to carnation good start .. then to allsoy... all with COLIC that has gotten worse in the past week... I have him on Alimentum for the past 24 hrs and the colic is no better ... in fact it is worse... does anyone know if it takes a few days or so for a baby to get use to and adujusted to a new formula... I dont know what other formula to try after this one...also does anyone know of a formula called NURSOY... my 7 year old was on it when she was an infant but I can no longer find it anywhere... it helped her colic... due to the sugar content in it was zero... does anyone have any information on this and especially if it takes a few days for a baby to get adjusted to a new formula and it to acutally help...
(somthing has to work i cant go on with 2 hours sleep from holding and walking and rocking a colicky baby... actually 2 of them my daughter gets colic about 3 times a week but my son is every day and every night!!!!! )

Hang in there! :) I can't help you much on the Nursoy, but my 2 month old son is on Alimentum and we switched from Similac to Isomil to Alimentum and I was told it takes a few days to a week for the baby to adjust to the new formula. I'd give it sometime and if nothing improves talk with your Dr. Good luck!

i dont know much about Nursoy, however my baby was very colicky and is now 9 weeks old and has been on Enfamil, lactose free, Soy, Nuttramigen and now Alimentum. I do know that you you have to wait atleat a week before making another changes as the change in formula can also upset their stomach. We were on all 4 of those formulas for atleasy 10 days. I was beginning to think we were going to run out of formulas and have to feed her through and IV! It was awful.....I have seen an improvement in using Alimentum but even that took 2 weeks to see a difference. Hang in there and give them all at least a chance.

I have been in the same boat!! I tried sooo many formula's on Ashlyn. My advice to you, is to stick with the Alimentum, at least for a few weeks. Ashlyn is on Nutramigen, which is pretty much the same thing. It didn't take away the colic by any means, but I am sure it would have been much worse! And def. hang in there! Ashlyn is just about 3 months old, and I can tell the colic is starting to diminish. Good luck!! I know this can be so frustrating!:)
