Does anyone use these bottles? I have heard that there are the best out there for colic/reflux babies. Since my baby has both, I am willing to try anything (and have spent a lot of money doing so). But, I just bought one to try. What I have noticed is that she is eating all 6 ounces in 7 minutes versus 30 minutes for 4-5 ounces in her Avent bottle. I don't notice a difference in spitting up or anything either like they claim. She also doesn't need to burp as much. Does anyone else have this problem or have tried them and have any feedback? I don't know if she is eating what she is supposed to or she is eating too much from the difference of flow in the nipple. I know relux babies aren't supposed to eat fast. I look forward to your feedback. Thanks

We use the Dr. Browns bottles. We switched from Avent because he was getting too much air. He has a very strong suck and takes his bottles very quickly (on both Avent and Dr. Browns). We have tried to slow him down in the past, but didn't have much luck. I am not sure why the Dr. Brown's would be faster.
I really like the Dr. Brown's. He seems to get a lot less air. I use to be able to hear air coming out of the Avent. I think they are definitely worth the little bit of extra time and money to use them. He is still fussy, but any little bit helps ;)
Good luck!

I thought that they were nice too. The thing that I had a problem with is that she throws up more with these now then she did with the Avent because she eats so much faster now. I am concerned. She has been screaming from the extra throwing up. Got any ideas???

There is a bottle called Second Nature that is designed to not allow any milk to come out at all unless baby sucks very hard. My baby wont take it b/c he is breastfed and doesnt realize there is milk in it and pushes it out, but there are moms who swear by them.

I changed back to the avent and she is fine with eating again. She doesn't throw up or choke anymore. I do think they are good bottles but I guess they just aren't for her. Her colic and reflux were so bad last night that it was hard to tell anyway. I thought that was supposed to get better. She had a couple good days but was miserable ALL day yesterday. It is very upsetting....

Yes it seems that colic comes and goes....you will have good days and bad ones. But soon your good days will outnumber your bad....your baby will get there!
