Hi Everyone:
No one has really been posting too much lately so I thought I would drop a line. Sophie is now 15 weeks old and I can finally say she is a pleasure to be around. I no longer cringe when she wakes from a nap. She laughs and plays and sits contentedly. Today she watched Sesame Street. She is still not a napper, but she is a great sleeper. I haven't cried for two or three weeks. The memories of the misery I went through with her are starting to fade (a little). I can finally comprehend the idea of having another baby some day. I took her to her first restaurant last week and it was a success. I can just about take her anywhere now. She isn't screaming in the car or her stroller anymore. She now cries when she is tired, hungry, wet or bored. Wow, what a concept, crying for a reason. She is still a high maintenance baby, but that is OK. I can handle anything now. I was sure that Sophie would be on of those babies who wouldn't come out of this until she was six months old, but it is over at 3.5 months. I just wanted to let all of you who maybe are at the beginning stages of colic to hang in there. No one but you will understand just how difficult a job your baby is. Keep trying different things. Some things work, some don't. Don't be afraid to post your thoughts here. Checking in here every day was the one thing that I looked forward to. It kept me sane.
Good Luck!
