Elise just had her 4 month check-up and shots on Tuesday. She did well. She weighs 11.9 pounds and is almost 25 inches long. The doctor says she looks very good. We changed her Levsin to Donnatal. So far it seems to be helping more than the Levsin. She is still on Zantac but now takes it 3 times a day 0.7 ml. Still trying to get her to go to sleep at a reasonable time at night. I wish she would not scream and cry for an hour or more before bed. Elsie had her MRI of her spine and brain last Friday too. She did well with the anasthesia. I was very worried about her going under but she was a trooper. When she woke up she was mad as heck though because we had to fast her before the MRI and she was vvery hungry. She recovered quickly from the anesthesia and we get the results tomorrow from the MRI. (She has spina bifita occulta and a tethered spinal cord, this is the reason for the MRI. She will have to have surgery at 6 months old.) I will post the MRI results soon. Here are some new pictures.

Dear NuMom, both you and Elise are really beautiful. And I am so heartbroken to hear about Elise’s condition - having to go for surgery at such a young age. Could her crying and bedtime woes be related to this condition? Please keep us updated on Elise’s condition and surgery schedule, I want to keep her in my prayers.

I went to the website and found some articles on Elise’s condition. If you are interested, here are some :
