We just started to introduce jar food and seem to be running into some problems with him either not liking any of them or being fussy after eating.
Cristian seems to only like the bananna but we see him getting fussy as the day progresses until he just get's like the old days before Zantac and Reglan. The doc has increasead his dosage according to his weight which is 1ml dose for both every 4 hours. Did anyone see these kind of problems when introducing jar foods. The only reason we introduced them was becuase of our doc's suggestion. Should we have waited longer?

Hi confused daddy,

You did not mention how old your old your son is. I went to the Gerber website and there are some info on weaning like “Is your Baby ready for Solids” & “How to Start Feeding Solids” etc. See this link : http://www.gerber.com/phase/feeding?phase=9#topic2 . Info on Starting Solids also available on the Heinz website : http://www.heinzbaby.com/startingright/solidfoods.cfm
Guidelines for Starting Solids : http://www.drgreene.org/body.cfm?id=21&action=detail&ref=517

As always, refer to the food chart below if you are offering anything other than jar food.

Do you keep him upright after eating and drinking? Does he have constipation? Do you burp him after his food?

3 REASONS WHY BABIES FUSS : Very simply, babies fuss for the same reasons adults fuss: they hurt either physically or emotionally, or they need something. http://www.askdrsears.com/html/5/T051200.asp

I must have put it on another e-mail and forgot to mention it on this one. Anyways, he is 6.5 months old. We started him right after his 6month doc's visit.
I was just trying to see if anyone had bad reflux experiances when they started their babies on solids.
